Some Interviewing Tips You Might Consider

First impressions can last a lifetime but you only get once chance to make that impression.  You get one chance only and you need to make the most of it.  How do you do that?

A lot of people go for interviews and very few make the grade.  Observation is key at this point in your life and you need to be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Careful observation is the key to success and passing glances won’t pass you at all.  You need to be a stickler for detail starting from your clothes and what you can say about yourself.

These interviewing tips that I’m talking about in this article is your appearance.  You need to at least look like your successful.  You need to make sure that you are properly dressed and fit the role of the position you are applying for.

Attention to details on your appearance is an absolute must in this case because it could mean the difference between being hired or not at all.

Keeping your shoes clean is not enough.  You need to make sure that they are polished as best you can get them.  Be conservative in nature by keeping jewelry minimized, lapels are properly tucked in and the rest of the drill I’m sure you know.

What I’ve said may sound like common sense but you would be amazed on how many people skip these little details on their appearance.  Sure they may have the knowledge but if it isn’t presented in the correct way then that’s knowledge gone down the drain.

Appearances take quite a while to get prepared but it only takes seconds to get evaluated.  Your efforts will be well rewarded if you take the time to focus your initial efforts on your appearance.

Once that initial impression is in the mind of the hiring manager it can work for you or against you.  This part of the interview is all up to you and a lot of the grading can be done without you uttering a word.

So before you go onto your next interview look in the mirror and ask yourself if you would hire you the way you look?
